Questions and Answers from the iPad deployment nights in August 2012
Q: What happens if my child loses his iPad or damages it - does our family need to pay for it or replace it?
A: Similar to if a child loses or damages a textbook, there could be some charges that the family needs to pay,
but any cost would come out of the $25 damage deposit that parents make.
Q: What do we do if it does not work? Tech support?
A: The student would be encouraged to bring in to the media center in the morning to get help. If the issue
could not be taken care of there, a replacement may be issued while the problem is examined further.
Q: What if you do not have wifi at home?
A: The iPad works best when there is internet and wireless (wi-fi) at home. With that said, teachers are working
to create content that can be loaded on the machines before students leave school and create alternatives
to work requiring the internet.
Q: How will kids keep their iPads in their possession on game nights, for example if they bring them on the
bus to an away game?
A: Some possibilities would be to leave them on the locked bus, put them in a secure locker in the locker
room, or place them in a bag that travels with the team to the bench.
